About CIAR

The Center for Inflammation and Autoimmune Research (CIAR) is dedicated to advancing scientific understanding, early inflammation detection, and patient-centric interpretation in the fields of chronic inflammation and autoimmune disorders. CIAR integrates systems immunology, translational research principles, and accessible community education to improve the way inflammatory conditions are recognized and addressed.

Founded by Dr. Parthiban Subramaniyan
(DST Awardee, Clinical Translational Researcher & Inflammation Biology Scientist, Honorary Doctorate)

Co-founded by Mrs.Vinodhini Parthiban (Biotech Researcher - Scientific Documentation & Clinical Research Support.

CIAR was established with the vision of building an autoimmune-free society through early detection, immune-centric mechanistic analysis, and personalized intervention strategies.

Our work focuses on:

  • Early identification of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune patterns

  • Systems-level interpretation of immune, endocrine, metabolic, and neuro-immune interactions

  • Translational research bridging scientific evidence with real-world patient understanding

  • Patient counselling driven by immunological awareness

  • Community-based education to reduce misdiagnosis and delayed recognition

At CIAR, we strive to bridge the gap between emerging immunological science and accessible, patient-centered understanding  empowering individuals and communities to recognize chronic inflammation before irreversible progression occurs.

Mission

  •  To investigate the early molecular and systems-level origins of inflammation using multi-axis immunology frameworks.

  • To support scientifically grounded, minimal-pharmacological immune modulation approaches in chronic inflammatory patterns.

  • To advance immune literacy, awareness, and early recognition of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disorders in communities.

  • To develop India’s strongest real-world translational immunology platform for early detection, interpretation, and research.

  •  To contribute to global inflammation science through conceptual models, scientific publications, and collaborative research efforts.

Vision

To build an ecosystem where immune communication is optimized, chronic inflammation is minimized, and communities achieve long-term health through scientific awareness, early detection, and systems-level understanding.

Founder Profile

Dr. Parthiban Subramaniyan is a Clinical Translational Researcher and Inflammation Biology Scientist and the Founder of the Center for Inflammation & Autoimmune Research (CIAR) and Co-Founder of the NVP Foundation, Tamil Nadu, India. His work integrates molecular immunology, systems biology, and multi-organ axis regulation into a unified scientific framework for understanding early inflammation and chronic immune dysregulation.

He holds an M.Tech in Materials Science & Engineering from NIT Trichy and has completed advanced immunology certifications through Imperial College London, including:

• Innate Immune System

• Autoimmunity

• Allergy, Hypersensitivity & Transplant Immunology

With over a decade of research-driven experience in inflammation biology, Dr. Parthiban developed the Bio-Intelligence Circuit (BIC)—a comprehensive systems-immunology model connecting:

• Mitochondrial energetics

• Gut–immune communication

• LPS–TLR4 signalling

• Nuclear receptor pathways (VDR, GR, ER, TR, PPAR)

• Vagal neuro-immune regulation

• Multi-organ axis stability & drift

He was honored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) for biomedical innovation and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Health Administration in recognition of his contributions to inflammation awareness, community education, and translational immunology frameworks.

His scientific mission focuses on transforming how chronic inflammation is identified, interpreted, and addressed through:

• Multi-axis immune pathway analysis

• Minimal-pharmacological, mechanism-guided immune modulation

• Biomarker-based interpretation

• Scientific immune literacy initiatives

• Translational manuscripts & mechanistic documentation

• Community-based immunology education through the NVP Foundation

His core research interests include:

• Innate immune signaling & TLR4 biology

• Neuro-immune vagal pathways

• Gut–brain–immune axis

• Nuclear receptor biology & endocrine–immune crosstalk

• Mitochondrial–immune interface

• Translational systems-immunology

• Multi-organ axis stability and restoration models

Dr. Parthiban is currently developing multiple scientific manuscripts, mechanistic frameworks, and collaborative pathways with national and international researchers in the fields of immunology, inflammation biology, and translational health science.
